In the Old Testament, we see women like Sarah, Rebecca, and Rachel, who were matriarchs of the faith. These women were instrumental in fulfilling God’s promise to make their descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky. Sarah, who was barren, gave birth to Isaac in her old age, and Rebecca gave birth to Jacob and Esau, who were the fathers of the twelve tribes of Israel.

In the New Testament, we see women like Mary, the mother of Jesus, who was chosen by God to give birth to the Savior of the world. Her obedience and faithfulness to God are an example for all of us to follow. 

 

Overall, the Bible is filled with stories of women who were faithful, courageous, and influential. Their contributions to the faith serve as an inspiration for all of us, and their stories remind us that God can use anyone, regardless of gender, to accomplish His purposes.

Woman of the New Testament

Mary, the mother of Jesus: Mary was chosen by God to give birth to Jesus, the Savior of the world. She was a humble and obedient servant, who accepted God’s plan for her life with faith and trust.

Priscilla: Priscilla was a teacher and evangelist who worked alongside her husband, Aquila, to spread the gospel. She played a significant role in mentoring and supporting the apostle Paul.

Phoebe: Phoebe was a deaconess in the early church and was commended by Paul for her service and leadership.
